Prof. Naim Eqrar
water resource management specialistProf. Naim Eqrar, Head of Geology at REHA and former Dean of Geoscience, is a leading expert in water resource management. He serves on Afghanistan’s Supreme Council of Water and Environment, NHCA, and ANWERC/MOHE. Prof. Eqrar has authored key research on hydrogeology, groundwater, and hydropolitics, contributed to international publications, and served as National Training Expert with Norplan/Norway (MRRD). He also chaired the UIBN regional forum (Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, China) from 2022–2024.

Ezatullah Sediqi
climate change and disaster risk reductionEzatullah Sediqi is one of Afghanistan’s leading experts in climate change and disaster risk reduction, with 19 years of experience in environmental management and governance. He has held leadership and advisory roles in national programs and international organizations, focusing on climate governance, disaster management, and sustainable development. As Co-Founder and Deputy Executive Director of REHA, he oversees the organization’s operations and strategic direction. Sediqi is a senior technical resource committed to building resilient Afghan communities.

climate change and natural resource managementMr. Safiullah Khurram, a leading expert in climate change and natural resource management, serves as Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, Kabul University, and National Environmental Consultant with REHA. Holding a Master’s degree in Climate Science from the USA, he is recognized as one of REHA’s top trainers in climate change. His expertise bridges academia and practice, contributing to sustainable resource management, environmental policy, and national development priorities in Afghanistan.
